The following statement can be attributed to Ed Mierzwinski, Senior Director, Federal Consumer Programs, U.S. PIRG

“U.S. PIRG is glad that the full D.C. Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals, correctly rejected the constitutional challenge to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s leadership structure. When creating the CFPB, Congress recognized the importance of having an independent regulator to enforce our federal financial consumer protection laws. The  decision fully comports with the Constitution and Supreme Court precedent. This decision is a win for American consumers.”
